QuadratureSurfer@lemmy.worldMto Star Citizen@lemmy.world•How's Your 4.1 Experience?English2·7 days agoI get glued to landing pads pretty often so if anyone knows what I’m doing wrong please let me know.
Go to Game settings and scroll down about 1/4th of the way. Look for “Defaults - Flight - Proximity Assist On” and change the value to “No”.
This will disable it by default whenever you enter any ship. You can also go into your ships MFD. Go to Configuration -> Flight -> Enable Proximity Assist
Then toggle it off.Just be careful or

you’ll easily end up like Andor who was slamming that tie fighter all over the walls in the Hangar.
Also, is there an exterior button on the Hull A to extend and retract cargo fins? I read somewhere that Alt-k works in the cockpit but it wouldn’t work for me.
No exterior button as far as I’ve found. The default keybind is Left Alt + K (Right Alt + K won’t do it). The ship can be landed, and it doesn’t even have to be powered on when doing it (for now at least).
Edit clarified ext. Button.

Just before the 7 min mark in the video, he mentioned that, “[…] our current limitation is the shoulders simply because of the way the armors work and the helmets work and we don’t want it to be clipping all along. So, I’m really looking at the day that we can make hairs that are longer. I’d like to do like a big dreadlock that goes straight down […]”

I only saw around 1 or 2 tickets every few weeks. Occasionally someone would post a game specific bug instead of going to the issue council for that game.
It’s run by Turbulent, but since they were bought by CIG somewhat recently, they’re probably consolidating websites.

New missions are cool, and I think I saw something, somewhere, about them bringing back the maintenance missions for Pyro outposts.

Carbon Pixel just uploaded the first mission here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sJ00VC11nc&t=15s
Doesn’t look as buggy as the last time I tested it out. So that’s a plus.
QuadratureSurfer@lemmy.worldMto Star Citizen@lemmy.world•Looking for Questions: Star Citizen Live - Narrative TeamEnglish2·10 days agoYeah, I’m really hoping the question with the hospital protestors gets higher up on the list and they address it.
We have screens everywhere throughout various environments that can be repurposed and occassionally play clips. We have seen what they can do with Siege of Orison, so it would be nice if they can actually use those tools to really bring home the experience.
They’ve at least started using something like that for the new pilot/combat training missions (4.1.1 PTU). But the last build I tested it out it was super buggy with the mission giver calling you and repeating the same few lines with every advancement through the mission.
QuadratureSurfer@lemmy.worldMto Star Citizen@lemmy.world•Looking for Questions: Star Citizen Live - Narrative TeamEnglish3·10 days agoSome good questions in there.
A few irrelevant questions, but those are mostly not getting upvoted.
Hopefully we get some good answers about their future plans and how to bring storytelling to the players beyond what we’re seeing today.
Yeah, it’s really not meant to enter the atmosphere when hauling, it would be cool if there was some stress mechanic where it breaks apart if you get too close to a large planet with a lot of atmosphere.
That being said, if there’s no cargo it can retract the spindles and then it can land, no problem.
