I bought it long before the steam release, back when multiplayer was in experimental. So glad that there are 1000s of hours that were never tracked so I don’t need to see those.

Wish I knew, bought a handline to try from a kayak. No license so it barely cost me anything to try it, ended up feeling motion sickness after a little while and caught nothing. Might be worth trying to get a basic rod and go from land, but there is so much terminology I don’t even vaguely understand to go through. Think there are a bunch of different types, like you can just leave some hooks in the water and wait until something gets caught, or you may need to constantly be reeling in the line to get something to bite it. I know I would rather go with just leaving a few lines in the water, could have multiple out then too.

Had quite a bit more luck with crabs from the shore, though they are fairly small. Could probably make a nice crab fried rice with a few of them though and then use the bodies for stock. Not sure how much if any fishing regulations apply to restrict what I can do there though. Mainly limitations of method, like how many nets, how large. There are no catch limits on green shore crabs that I am aware of, brown crabs have got a minimum size and possibly a number limit for personal consumption.

Then of course I have no idea where is actually a good place, and I don’t know anyone interested in it to talk to that could help give useful advice.

Tbh I would rather a desktop and build that myself. If I wanted a laptop I would most likely be looking for very low specs and cheap, so second hand. Got a laptop with a 2011 pentium CPU somewhere and it works perfectly fine on Linux, even got a few games on it.

Drox Operative 2 runs at 60FPS, kinda makes me wish we had more 2D games these days as they can run on pretty much anything.

And if tech people are no longer recommending it, or actively recommending against it, it is possible to get people to start switching. This is largely how chrome became so popular in the first place, and that required getting people to change from the default option.

The thing that I hate even more about all this, I could afford to do this. But you are not legally allowed to live on your own land in the UK without planning permission. I think it is vaguely comparable to zoning in the US.

Lots of games can come in bundles, if you buy a bundle because it has 1 game you want in it, I don’t know if it really matters if you don’t play the other 8 in the bundle. Especially when the entire bundle is cheaper than the game you wanted.

Seems like a complete flip to what we have here in the UK, Aldi is by far cheaper than any farmers market I have seen.
