I don’t know if Suirei understands exactly how many powerful and capable people she’s bringing down on herself by kidnapping Maomao, but she’s about to find out, lol (and it’s more than usual with Luomen in the palace). Not sure if it’s related or just a simultaneous scheme, but Lakan’s taunting of Shishou was great - it’s clear he’s testing some theories (like with the juice) and setting up some bait to see if he’ll take it (I don’t believe for a second that the interrogation was botched).

Meanwhile, I’ve been suspicious for a while that Shisui has some connection with Loulan (they look too similar), but now we’ve got a more direct hint. My guess currently is that she’s Loulan’s alter ego she uses to run around the palace freely, but she may instead be her sister or some other relative or a backup/body-double or something.

Interesting! Someone here predicted that eunuch would be Suirei and they were right. Unfortunately I’m still struggling to remember her part in S1… Maybe I’ll see if I can find the specific eps for a refresher.

We also seem to get more and more clues about who Shisui really is. More and more seems to point to being Loulan/related to Loulan.

Quack Doctor got his name revealed after 40 episodes. How did Maomao call him all along?

What do they say about curiousity and cats? Or how Maomao decided to investigate her suspicions by rushing to the clinic alone, and also not leaving when she could because she wanted to check out the bookshelf? (Though Suirei was already present by that time but Maomao didn’t know that.)

Shisui was also there all that time Suirei was speaking, only to be pulled out like a piegon in a hat?

Congrats to Suirei’s VA, Nazuka Kaori for giving birth to her third child. She just had her birthday 2 days ago too.

Is the other official who came with Shishou also color blind, or is Shishou going to have a “Oh shit” moment later when he is asked about the wine color.
