laggytoast@discuss.tchncs.deto Motorcycles@lemmy.world•A lack of gear talk around here.English1·2 days agoSome pretty good information here thanks, I never really have a folding ear issue but I do wear a mask 90% of the time.
Interesting I never even thought about, could definitely see myself making the same mistake walking in somewhere blasting music from my helmet haha
laggytoast@discuss.tchncs.deto Motorcycles@lemmy.world•A lack of gear talk around here.English3·3 days agoI’ve been looking at getting an intercom system, probably looking at a Cardo Spirit but I know Scorpion have the ExoCom that is designed to work with their helmets (I have a Scorpion helmet). However I think I prefer the Cardo so that I have something that is helmet agnostic and should work with any helmet I get in the future.
The rest of my gear is pretty entry level, I’ve only been riding since September 2024 so I haven’t felt the need to upgrade my gear, first thing is to upgrade the bike once I get my full licence
That’s a bigger collection than I expected, thank you
The links are active and I will definitely give them a look over, I’ve heard of LUTs but never really looked into them.
laggytoast@discuss.tchncs.deOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Help with lxc write accessEnglish1·2 months agoNo problem, as far as I can understand that is the easiest solution I don’t see the problem with privileged containers if they are local in your network. I think I will test with NFS instead of smb/cifs and check the user access as @[email protected] mentioned above.

laggytoast@discuss.tchncs.deOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Help with lxc write accessEnglish1·2 months agoThere is no reason as far as I learn more this was probably not the best way to set it up but I was just following guides to learn. The goal in the future is to build a bigger storage server and run something like TrueNas. I will look into NFS3 though it could solve some of my problems with the current setup.
laggytoast@discuss.tchncs.deOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Help with lxc write accessEnglish1·2 months agoI can ping the fileserver and reach I can map the drive from calibre for example but it does not have write persmissions.
Maybe I am mounting incorrectly I mounted with
mount -t cifs username=username \\fileserverIP\folder \mnt\smb_share
This works for 1 of my lxc that is privileged but does not work the unprivileged ones

It’s nice it can pull the whole text of the article so you don’t have to go to another site to read the full text.
Yeah I think I need to practice in a car park I have just been practicing on a quiet street but every time it feels like I am going to tip over or not make the turn.
When I do make it I never feel like I did from skill more from luck.
