Like, yeah, this shit disgusts me, but I doubt someone “blasting” Trump is gonna do anything about it.

Severance is usually worse if you wait to get fired rather than taking a voluntary exit.
If you aren’t happy at a job, taking an offered exit is often a good decision.

Who cares what that nonce thinks? Surely not anyone who would read this article or be receptive to its content.
Yeah I’ve had that happen, too.
Still my first method because it works most of the time.

Literally never heard this phrase before, but it seems very similar to “different strokes for different folks.”
It doesn’t make any sense to me but I kind of love it.

hayes_@sh.itjust.worksto Fuck Cars@lemmy.ml•The cost of maintaining roads is astronomical151·7 months agoEconomists love toll systems because they’re essentially a use-tax: drive more, pay more.
Unfortunately, they’re also a regressive tax. Poor people generally drive more because they can’t afford to live near their work/school/etc. So, the additional tax revenue is mostly extracted from the people who are the least capable of changing their behavior and have the least disposable income.
