Be sure to practice slow tight maneuvers more generally - find an empty car park to drill figures of eight, circling, and weaving too. Get as comfortable as you can with managing the balance of the bike at low speed.

Once you’ve established that the turn is safe and committed to it, keep your eye on where you want to go (edit: i.e. look forward in the new direction, not down), don’t get distracted. This will help with balance.

  • I remember the “made without computers, samplers[…]” note on their first record. Using technophobia and reactionary lies (the record was actually produce with excessive use of digital effects, the artwork mostly plagiarized and digitally layouted etc)

The liner notes read “no samples, keyboards, or synthesizers used in the making of this record”. They used pedals and live feedback for distortion and effects, but did not use samples, keyboards, or synthesizers. At the time, as you’ll know, synths were either embraced as an evolution of music production or derided as an erosion of real musical skill; RATM were in the former camp and their claim – as far as I know – was genuine. It doesn’t matter where you stand or stood on the debate, it wasn’t misleading or false. Your outrage is manufactured.

I have to say I’ve found the Copilot inline suggestions/predictions quite helpful for speeding up repetitive work, although they sometimes get in the way.

I’ve also found its ability to summarise a class in plain English quite helpful when working on projects I didn’t create or haven’t looked at for a long time.

However, I’ve recently been directed to try and port legacy code to modern languages but the same implementation as a rush job, and Copilot has not done well at that at all. It’ll skip bits out because they’re too complex, establish variables and parameters and never use them, or come up with ancient convoluted ways of addressing solved problems.
