Something that comes out after guys like Trump have been in power is the voter regret. When asked why they voted for him they usually say the same 2 things: Either he was the only one talking about stuff the voter cared about, or they figured he would “shake things up” and/or change things. Note in that last part, the voter doesn’t really care what’s going to change or how it will happen, they’re just sick of the status quo.

All of this is to say that yes people are stupid, but that also holds true the politicians who’ve been pedaling the status quo, or minimal change, for generations and ignoring the growing anger of people who’ll eventually vote for craziness in the name of “change.”

Glad to see this. For sure, there are plenty of sports I find boring to watch, but I can appreciate the skill involved. That, and the nuance and context you mention can really add to the enjoyment of a sport. Plus, everyone’s different and have different likes.

Most races are actually not as fun in person since you only see 1 part of the track. The rest is watched on Jumbotrons around the track. I enjoy watching some racing, but I’m usually doing something else while it’s on. The technical aspect of F1 continues to amaze me.

It’s almost like the US position on Ukraine prior to his current circus was the right one. Almost as though the Clown King must touch the skillet to learn that it will burn him rather than accept the wisdom of those who came before him and said, “DO NOT EVER TRUST VLADIMIR FUCKING PUTIN!”

The main thing that worries me about this is the whole “be careful what you wish for” idiom. Hegseth is terrible, for sure, but I’ve learned never to underestimate the Trump admin’s ability to go lower. As an example, most people would scoff at the idea of “Sec. Def. Enrique Tario,” but haven’t we all learned that this is a possibility?

• Arbitrary character requirements (particularly disallowing or only allowing a certain subset of special characters)
• Only offering SMS as “2FA”
• Using email “2FA” on every. Login. Attempt. And offering no real 2FA alternative.

All of these are reasons I will look to move my business to a competitor.

It’s all damage they created against the recommendations of every expert along the way who told them that exactly what’s happening would happen. The ineptitude and arrogance of this administration is why investors are leaving. George W Bush was an idiot, but even he knew better than to fuck with what Trump’s fucking with. If I were an investor, foreign or not, the US would be a considered complete gamble until this guy and his whole cult of personality are excised from any positions of power.
