We’re keeping an eye on Chromium’s efforts to add extension support on Android and we hope to add it to Vivaldi at some point as well.

It already works with videos as well. Not with all of them, but when you play a video on, for example, PeerTube, YouTube, Vimeo, etc., the video keeps playing and you’ll continue to hear the audio from it as you view other tabs or apps.

The bug has been fixed internally and will be released soon.

In the meantime, try disabling “Double tap on the system back button” in Settings > General.

It’s not in the plans for the near future at least.

I couldn’t find a feature request for it on our forum either, so I recommend creating a new feature request topic on https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/185/desktop-feature-requests.

One of our devs did a little investigation and found that it’s an issue with filesystem access.
We’ll try to fix it on our side, but as a quick fix he suggested looking for “All user files” using Flatseal (https://flathub.org/apps/com.github.tchx84.Flatseal) and allowing filesystem=home permission for Vivaldi.

Drag-and-drop to upload a file worked fine on a couple of websites I tested it on. 🤔

Try it in a Guest Profile (https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tabs/guest-view/) or a new User Profile (https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tools/user-profiles/). If it works there, something in the main profile is causing the issue.

I couldn’t reproduce the issue after some brief testing, but I might not be doing things the way you did.
Please file a bug report on https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/ with detailed steps for us to follow in order to trigger the bug.
Let me know the bug number you receive, so I could follow up.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with Vivaldi.
When a site is “blacked out” in the main window, does it open normally in a private/guest window or new user profile? Wondering, whether an extension or setting might cause the issue.
Re: translations, how long were the texts you tried to translate? Automatic language detection doesn’t work on single words and short sentences.
Please describe the issue with toolbar customization in more detail.
