28·5 months agoI’m a meat eater, but I bet even a mediocre meatless chicken nugget is significantly better than whatever American school cafeterias have been passing off as chicken nuggets.
82·6 months agoHL2 is peak first person shooter. More recent games have added a lot, but after playing through HL2 recent, it’s really nice to strip all that extra stuff away.
Mickey’s thumbs are clearly pointing down in the image. When holding a camera up to your face, your thumbs will point up.

81·9 months agoSame thing in Canada. When we transitioned to fully remote we had to ensure that our workspace is safe.
Most people only leave pennies and never take them. Without kind people like you, the poor cashiers would be buried in pennies.
9·9 months agoHow is downtown Portland doing? I knew the location as soon as I saw the picture. My wife and I live in BC but got married in Portland and visited a lot in 2010-2014 but haven’t been back since we had a kid. We stayed in a hotel about 2 blocks from that plaza a few times.
Based on the thumbnail, I thought it had been photoshopped with a human diver’s head and arms.

4·1 year agoTerraria is an absolutely wonderful game, I’m in the thousands of hours as well. It’s probably worth a warning for a first time gamer that it can be hard to progress without a bit of guidance. If you want to stumble in the dark for a while, that’s awesome, just go for it. If you want a little more guidance, check out the official wiki (https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Terraria_Wiki) and especially its getting started guide.
I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong or embarrassingly out of date. LibreOffice was forked from OpenOffice back when Oracle bought Sun because their trademark lawyers were all like “Screw you, we own ‘OpenOffice’ now” to the open source community. Then Oracle realised that owning OpenOffice wasn’t all that valuable when your company’s reputation in the open source community is that of Oracle’s, so gave it to Apache. OpenOffice seems to still have some life, but I think LibreOffice is the one most developers and users have stuck with.
