Yeah this is messed up. YouTube is definitely messing with this topic. Searching with my alt account, it wouldn’t show under “balatro”. I had to use the whole title exactly for it to pop up. Apparently, TALKING about the issue is enough for YT to mute you.

I HATE playing that stupid game of rotating thumbnails and changing titles, but I’ve tried shaking this up. It still hasn’t hit .5% of my subscriber count.

I’m just generally looking for things I think look interesting.
I was walking with my daughter, saw this seeding dandelion, picked it so I could get a cleaner background and better light, then took the shot.
I’d say the whole set up and capture took less than a minute.

@[email protected] unfortunately, the only premium camera-focused phone with a headphone jack left on the market is the Sony XPERIA, and the XPERIA 1VI was kind of a downgrade from the 1V. I don’t know what the 1VII will look like, but right now I’d take Vivo and Xiaomi camera phones over Sony, Apple, Google, and Samsung.

@[email protected] Nope, but I know what you mean. A LOT of phones this year are either lateral moves, more expensive for the same kit, or the same price as last year but with features removed.

The practical functionality of the smartphone has been eroding for years, and this year is accelerating that trend. Even our ultra specialty phones are less ultra and less specialist than last year.

Fair question for anyone reading this in case I missed it, but has any phone been launched in 2025 where every piece of the camera experience was a practical upgrade? I really can’t think of one off the top of my head…

And of course, I had to poke a little fun at my pals over on GSMArena for this little nugget about sensor size differences. Techies often dont know as much about photography as they think they do 😅

Article: The sensors have changed, where the OP12 used a 1/2" sensor, the 13 uses a 1/1.95” type. That means the OP13 has the larger sensors, but it’s a physical change so small, there’s no discernible impact on photo IQ. The pixel size increases slightly as we pack fewer dots on a larger slab, but again, in a way that is likely indistinguishable from the OP12.

As a quick tangent, how little techies understand photography, the folks at GSMArena say this about the telephoto sensor on the OP13. I worry that the folks at GSMArena have forgotten how fractions work…

It’s only “worth” doing the work on the bigger brands that will get your channel more views, so you’ll make more money.
