Sebito@lemmy.mlto Firefox@lemmy.ml•What's currently the best way to get rid of cookie banners? 🍪English1·2 years agoI second this but be sure to read it’s description:
In most cases, the add-on just blocks or hides cookie related pop-ups. When it’s needed for the website to work properly, it will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what’s easier to do). It doesn’t delete cookies.

I was actually about to do that (move to Debian).
Not that i saw this exact thing coming but I do notice the recent changes many big companies make and i feel a lot more comfortable with staying on a community moderated platform even if it means making my life slightly more inconvenient.
Using neovim, hosting on Codeberg and so on just makes me feel a lot more comfortable.
That has to be a joke…please someone tell me that this is a joke.
Also every major browser has a tool for timing and seing how long a site and it’s components load. You could test it with that but even then; load times will vary slightly depending on what the instances have to load.
But probably a better way than pings ¯_(ツ)_/¯
