Yeah, so as I understand it, the US is able to have this huge trade imbalance because they can pay for their imports in currency they can print themselves, and other central banks will take the dollars because it’s the reserve currency and because petrol products are traded in dollars. It is a rather delicate balance, that allows the US to consume with unlimited credit, that will work as long as others want dollars.

I understand how other economies would like to break this relationship and get in on the putting everything on the credit card, or to break it just so that the US doesn’t have so much economic power over the world.

What I don’t understand is how an American, much less the president himself, would want this balance upset. Even as a European, I believe it’s in my economic interest that the Americans consume.

Do I have a better understanding of this than the American government??

Besides all the good advice in the thread, about condoms:

He should be somewhat comfortable with putting on condoms, he has to train that before it becomes necessary. There are plenty of videos explaining it, let him find them and check them out on his own terms. Let him know not every brand fits every man. He will need to overcome the awkwardness of buying them in drug stores or supermarkets, if he finds it awkward at all, he has to get over himself and do it. A possible motivation could be that if girls can buy their period products, he can buy his dick wraps.

Vielleicht fehlt noch dieses Puzzleteil aus dem Spektrum meiner Meinungen: In einer idealen Welt wählst Du, und Deine Stimme zählt, so viel wie jede andere. Dass hier 15 bis 20 Prozent der Stimmen wegen zu klein einfach weggeschmissen werden, ist ein Unding und zwingt Dich dazu, in quasi vorauseilendem Gehorsam bereits Kompromisse zu machen, die eigentlich die Gewählten untereinander auszuhandeln haben. Jeder sollte einfach den Repräsentanten wählen, der ihn am besten vertritt!

Das ist na klar zu idealistisch, wenn man eine Regierung will, die in ungefähr die Richtung will, in die man selbst auch will. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, das zu erlangen, wähle ich auch taktisch. Diese Möglichkeit sehe ich aber 2025 nicht, und fühle mich aktuell deshalb ganz frei von taktischem Denken.

Das war bei der Europawahl ein gutes Gefühl!

Bin im Gegenteil der Meinung, dass ich jetzt wählen kann wie ich will, weil linksgrünversifft eh keine Chance hat.

Und ich sag mal so, wenn alle, für die der Wahlomat Volt ausgibt sie auch wählen würden, wären sie drin.

Bin mit dem Öl von Rapunzel geschmacklich auch ganz zufrieden.

Das Problem beginnt damit, dass “gute” Olivenöle oft einfach gar keinen Geschmack haben. Ich mag aber Olivenöl mit Geschmack.

Wenn ich mir jetzt mal Geschmackseigenschaften ausdenken soll, sage ich mal adstringierend/bitter, scharf, sauer und… irgendwie grün? Vielleicht passt fruchtig. Es soll als sich rohes Öl gut mit Salz, Säure und Kräutern ergänzen. Ich hoffe, das macht irgendwie Sinn, Geschmack ist ja immer schwer zu beschreiben.

Ein Olivenöl soll m.M. nach alle diese Eigenschaften haben, aber keine davon sehr prägnant. Um das zu erreichen, darf es auch gepanscht sein, also aus unterschiedlichen Ölen gemischt.

Es ist wichtig, dass das Olivenöl frisch ist, es verliert nach einem halben Jahr deutlich an Geschmack. Olivenöl wird im Herbst gepresst, falls das nicht klar sein sollte ;)

Ich habe lange Zeit das Belladonna vom Lidl benutzt, bis sie es verbockt haben.

Das Bertolli war immer das, was ich zum Kochen verwendet habe. Aktuell ist es auch roh akzeptabel, es ist aber sehr teuer geworden.

Mein aktuelles Öl zur rohen Verwendung ist deswegen das Rapunzel, es ist etwa genauso teuer. Ich bin ganz zufrieden damit.

Yeah, that was my first thought as well when I first encountered this problem some time ago, however in Germany

1. the difference between hourly wages is 18% on average,

2. the difference in pay for the same work is 6%.
