There are two things that the Internet has taught me: the incredible creativity people have about absolutely everything and the unimaginable levels of stupidity that people have about absolutely everything. Sometimes one of those things only exist because of the other, and that’s hard to process.

It’s hilarious that OP thought going full in o proton is the other end of the “I love privacy” spectrum. How the fuck are you here on lemmy and that uneducated and ignorant on all this? These are two people a couple of steps away from each other on one end, not even close to what the meme actually is. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this was rage bait, because it’s dumb enough to be that. Or a proton shill, which definitely exists here.

So just because it has been that way your whole life, without a doctor looking into why, it is an unsolvable problem…? All you’ve said just screams “I want to have this problem because it’s something to complain about”.
Imagine if a person has had a limp their whole life, they complain about it and other people say “it shouldn’t be like that, it’s not normal and you should get it looked at” and their reply is what you said. See how fucking dumb that is? That’s you.

Most of these are above mid but not at all “legendary”. The series they are part of are legendary, but the specific games are not at all the high point and reason for that. There are definitely some timeless masterpieces there, but not enough to make it some singular year that has never been surpassed or equalled.

It definitely blows inhibitions and also makes do you dumb stuff, but nothing close to this level. I’ve done 8-balls in one night and have done dumb stuff I wouldn’t have done without it, same as doing dumb stuff on alcohol and even weed. But this is so far removed from that, he’d have to have absolutely no idea about the dangers and I really think there must have been someone else who persuaded him in bad faith.

How the fuck do you not see any signs this is AI? The weird perspectives, no textures (which should repeat exactly on each block) being the same, just kinda similar, the many details that don’t fit with how a block based and 16x16 pixel texture game looks. And of course the “general look” of the whole image. This image absolutely screams AI, and it’s disturbing that you can’t see that.

Not that I would need any of this to notice the obviousness but just to show I’m not going by feel here: I have extensive experience and knowledge about minecraft, mods for it, 3d modeling and texturing, pixel art, and more than two brain cells (I don’t say that in a “I’m so smart” way, but in a “I expect even a child to comprehend these things” way).

Is it really that common? I’ve seen people say that a few times but I actually expected more. Like, one or several comments saying it in every comment thread about anyone showing disagreement with everything going on. But it’s been a rare show of intelligence and basic comprehension among all the places it easily could have been said.

There has never been a place or moment where that wasn’t a thing. People suck, and any tools like that will always be misused. There’s a reason reporting people anywhere isn’t an automatic and immediate thing.

It took way to long to find something decent about this, so many shit articles and videos. I could probably find something better with more time but I gotta sleep, this is the best I could do and it’s good enough IMO.
