“In my head, yesteryear was a time when the average American had access to and wore mass-produced yet well-made pieces from J. Crew and Lord & Taylor (not Uniqlo and Shein)”
Do people not like Uniqlo??? I’ve gotten a good amount of clothes from there and it has always been good quality for me. Tbh I don’t even know where else to look that isn’t crazy pricy or super cheap quality.
It’s a nice extension of your PC but don’t worry about it if you don’t have money you can absolutely spare. Even then, as others have mentioned, look at used ones because they’re a lot cheaper.
These games have some of the best OSTs of any, easily
Nintendo the only condition I have if when you use this is that the antenna has to be off center like in the image
Spreading the word about it and maybe simplifying the process a little is good, but I don’t think the goal should be to become mainstream. Then you just end up with Reddit again, fediverse or not. Having a small technological literacy test to filter people out and keep communities somewhat small isn’t necessarily bad, it keeps things higher quality and focused by ensuring only people willing to put in at least a tiny bit of effort join. Like how, on Reddit, the “default” subreddits were complete garbage, but the smaller communities people had to put in some effort to find actually tended to have good content.
I got excited after hearing how much people love this one, I usually play every ~5 or so they release and just pick out the best, but sadly the performance was so bad I had to refund it. I have a bit better than the minimum specs on steam (and the minimum specs are a ryzen 5 and gtx 1070, shouldn’t this be the standard target?) and ran everything at low, 1080p, and couldn’t get past 15fps.
There are better looking games from ~5-10 years ago I can run at 1440p or even 4k 60fps on high settings, I wish game studios would stop trying to go for the most intensive possible graphics effects with how diminished the returns are for it.
water is stupid
it freaking tastes like nothing
add tea leaves, tea rules
heh…guess you don’t have a standing desk like me? guess you don’t have superior posture? i’m basically exercising. i don’t even have to eat healthy or go on walks outside anymore.
(i have a standing desk btw)
If you care about upgradability and replacable parts the Framework is awesome, I love mine so far. But you can get a laptop with better parts for cheaper otherwise, so it’s probably worth just finding something that just has a compatible architecture if that aspect of the Framework isn’t a major thing for you. But also I’m typing this after drinking half a bottle of wine so honestly just ignore this entire comment, I don’t want the pressure of you making a financial decision based on this. Ok bye.
I like them for Pop!_OS but I have that installed on a Framework
I have never thought of a roach as cute before. I still haven’t, but this is the closest I’ve gotten.
Seriously. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea should leave the community, so ultimately this may be a good thing, so long as this community is kept here and passed to other people.
It’s very fun, feels like a return to simple web chatroom type games that I’ve really been longing for. It’s real enjoyable if the idea of casual fishing with some random people seems appealing to you!
“Just by being born here, our son benefits from the love, support and hope of so many people — even though he has achieved absolutely nothing in life yet,” his father said.
Sounds like this kid needs to get his act together. 2 years old and nothing to show for it!
Sure but why would the source code be available? It’d be funny if it was but it’s probably a compiled program, right?
I haven’t had it on its own but it’s usually paired with rooibos when I get that, they go well together!
I’ve only played World so far but I really enjoy it. At its core, it has some of the funnest combat of any game I’ve played. However, it’s one of those games that tries its hardest to keep the fun part away from you, at least in the first ~15 hours.
They cover up the actual gameplay with convoluted, stereotypical RPG-ness to the point where it feels like a parody of RPGs. Constant crafting and item gathering with inventory management, overly busy and clunky UI, an unskippable videogame story (genuinely this describes the entire story, there is nothing more to say about it than that it is a videogame story).
I know everyone compares these games to Dark Souls, but I have to admit the multiplayer is like Dark Souls’ in the sense that it is also extremely bad. You can’t play with your friends during those missions in the first 15 hours until you ALL solo run to the monster and watch a cutscene first after starting the mission. Why? This has made playing with my friends so miserable and I feel embarrassed explaining the system to them.
It also has microtransactions to change your character appearance and get some skins which is ridiculous and should always be made fun of. If Street Fighter 6 is any indication of how awful the microtransactions in Wilds will be I may just have to skip it.
I push through all this because when you do finally get to just do the monster hunting part, it’s incredibly well done. The maps are beautiful and fun to explore, the weapon combos have crazy depth and all sorts of hidden mechanics to learn, and the monsters themselves have great animations. But it’s exhausting to push through it sometimes.
Cause the “amazon shipping box” part is silly and doesn’t really give any info people don’t already know. The title is funny too since there’s no real point being proven. Growing your own food is cool, just nobody thinks you need a massive garden to do so in the first place.
“I will never look at cardboard boxes the same” now that I know they can be filled with dirt!
