I just did an upgrade to Windows 10 IoT LTSC edition, and activated it using instructions on massgrave.dev
It was pretty easy, just a little time consuming. Only issue I had was fixed by reinstalling my graphics driver. Provides essential updates until 2032.

You may be onto something. If we take away HL: Lost Coast, and both HL: Deathmatch versions, there are 9 titles.
With the rumoured title code named HL:X it makes me wonder how they’re going to announce it (granted these rumours are true).
JadenSmith@sh.itjust.worksto Games@sh.itjust.works•What have been the games whose writing really got into you?English5·2 days agoHell blade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
The game itself helped me understand people, who are no longer with us, in a better way. The manner in which psychosis is presented is powerfully accurate, at least from an outsider perspective. It made me cry as it portrayed struggles in a manner truthful to the symptoms beyond the effects - the story and execution of it really gripped me.

JadenSmith@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your go-to comfort foods?English9·4 days agoEggy in a basket. Many may know of it from V For Vendetta, and as much as I’d like to show off: I saw it on there first as well (all those years ago), but my gosh is it satisfying!
Butter one side of thick-sliced bread, use a small glass to cut a hole in the middle, plop some butter into a pan, put the un-buttered side down and crack an egg into the middle, and once it’s cooked enough flip it for a bit and then serve.
It takes practise to get the timing, of when to flip, right but once you do it’s just buttery and eggy and definitely comforts me well.
JadenSmith@sh.itjust.worksto Bikini Bottom Twitter@lemmy.world•Let's go to the mall, todayyyEnglish2·5 days agoIsn’t this only for the Swedish models?
Thank you. I didn’t realise how much tea Britons drink, until I lived in America for a few years (apparently taking a box of teabags to work isn’t normal, who knew!)
Fun fact: all British military tanks are filled with water heating units, which is often used for tea breaks.
I know my method is going to make people cringe, however hear me out:
Let’s say you are making for ten people, put ten cups out then pour the water first.
Gently place a bag atop the water and have it naturally float down, in each of the cups.
You’ll be able to see the oils, tannins, etc. slowly seeping out of the teabag and gather at the bottom of each cup. This provides a good visual indicator of the brewing.Once there is a dark layer covering the bottom of the cups, usually takes 1-2 minutes or so, give them all a stir, remove the teabags, then apply the sugar as needed to all cups, then the milk to all cups.
Makes it quick and efficient, rather than dealing with a cup at a time. Also every cup will have been brewed for the same intensity too, no randomly weak cups!

Like, if I’m on the bus and I hear a baby laughing, with those early crackly chuckles they get, it just taps into something within me and brightens my mood. Very difficult to frown with such pure happiness around.

I think this is why I love the Netherlands so much. People are just direct! Not once have I thought people were rude. If this is an issue for you, I would definitely recommend a place like Amsterdam.
And omg the trams…

JadenSmith@sh.itjust.worksto Games@lemmy.world•Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 hits 500k sales in one dayEnglish2·7 days agoAh fuck. Sorry man, I hope someone can figure it out. It’s a very new game, so hopefully more people take enough notice for a fix to be implemented.
Otherwise, I found an article which seems to allude to advanced volume settings to ‘normalise audio’, on an Xbox, in a similar way: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/hardware-network/display-sound/choosing-speaker-audio-output
If you’re using a Playstation, it may be worth digging around in your system settings. Sometimes the option is referred to as ‘equalise’, ‘dynamic range’, etc.
Hope this helps!

My speakers are decent with hearing everything, however I can definitely notice the vocals being considerably lower than the music and such.
There is a way to normalise audio levels from within Windows sound settings, you just have to remember to revert once you’re done playing.
This seems to be a good article about it: https://pureinfotech.com/normalize-sound-volume-windows-10/It’s a workaround, but it should help with the game and anything else you’d have this issue with. If you’re using Linux, unfortunately I can’t help. Good luck!

Just thought of giving that a mention. It may be worth having a look in your game settings, if there is an option to output as Stereo.
JadenSmith@sh.itjust.worksto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What are you saving money for right now?English3·9 days agoHoping to get my driving license, London and public transport didn’t give me a need to drive despite knowing how to (shh), and at my age it could be a great benefit moving forward so I figure a small refresher and the exam will do me good.
Also been saving up, separately, for an upcoming holiday to the Netherlands. My mother’s health can take a turn any day, so I wanted to take her to my favourite part of the world while I still could. Got a few things planned.
I used to really love point and clicks, in the style that yours seems to be, and I really missed them.
I honestly could not add this to my wishlist any faster. I wish you the best of luck with the release!
