Mid 30’s IT/Medical Device support and quality guy. I like cycling, video games, and singing.

"Who bought the sledge? Damn, that got fucked up in shipping. I’d file a claim with FedEx. ", says most dudes who see this on a porch.

Short answer is active moderation and Anubis.

As someone who has worked on and worked with people who design medical devices, don’t let them fool you. They are just normal electronics with better testing and parts (usually). The general markup on medical devices is so extreme and they want to keep it that way. Its why repair outside of official vendors is next to impossible. The industry is a scam.

Buy an Intel NUC that isn’t the lowest tier and open the web browser session then press F11.

Just skipped FM, then. Pretty neat that AM was viable so long.

Congrats on joining the 20th century… I get the whole, “If it ain’t broke…” thing but, damn.
My goto as a Midwesterner is, "Well, I’ll get out of your hair. "

Or, more likely, LLMs and the AI phase will be a nothing burger for generations since our programming languages and technology cannot currently even model AGI. We made a mechanical Turk and got impressed with ourselves. Except that Turk will burn our planet to cinders to tell us 2+2=5 because of a Reddit shitpost.

Was this a Hershey plant? The specific process they use creates the same acid as in the stomach which makes people who didn’t grow up with the stuff gag.
I’ve been told by Euros their chocolate uses a different process.

The fact that my 4chan shitposts from 2012 are now causing havoc inside of an AI is not something I would have guessed happening but, holy shit, that is incredible.

You must consider that the AI “helping” the artist is built from the stolen work of countless artists. Regardless of use case, the tool only exists due to theft. Plus, this tool exists as a way to not pay talent for content.
Since the bread and circuses machine must keep dispensing to keep the masses anaesthetized, the elites need a way to cut the costs or they will lose points are their net worth scorecard and get made fun of by the other billionaires.
Not to mention, AI is a shortcut that does not generate skills besides prompt engineering. We have research proving this with students and the labor force losing reasoning and straight memory by handing off to “AI”. Part of being a musician is the effort and practice and knowing an instrument. Asking the clanker for a tune because learning takes too long or is too difficult goes along with what the article says for detecting it. The work will be emotionless and have no soul. Musicians are allowed to make choices for their music, of course. AI rounding out an artist’s tools is what it is. I view the tool as a corrupting force but, it’s their perogative. But people without no knowledge or skill for making music cranking out these generic sounding similacra to make money is always going to set my teeth on edge.
Edit: spelling and tense correction. Revision and expansion of idea to express less derision.

This is patently false. I run GrapheneOS with no Google play services installed. The only issue I have is no paid app updates and some apps won’t send notifications since they ran through Google. I use my phone though mostly as a phone. I have almost no social media and I do not use banking apps on my phone. I choose to use website versions of anything on my phone so long as I can.
Not to mention, the replacement OSes like /e/os and the others don’t have the hardening of GrapheneOS. Cellibrite recently was leaked they still can’t crack open GrapheneOS.

Only because it affects his bottom line. No other reason.

Maybe stop villanizing the disadvantaged folks in our society, and put that anger towards the people who have stolen so much from the majority that they put the disadvantaged in the position they are in.
I didn’t see the main post doing that in the slightest. The poster is asking what the impact will be.
Also, industry needs zero reason to hold prices or raise them. We are completely divorced from standard economics at this point. Edit: spelling

Thanks for being the lightning rod for the FUD spreaders.

What do you mean by temporary? Problem has been solved. Lol

Makes it like Star Trek with “Beam me up, Scotty.”

I feel this most keenly in the reboots of sitcoms from the 90s/00s. Things like That 90s Show used to have 24 episode seasons where you could do character growth in a bottle episode. This obsession with staying in that 10 episode envelope means that the structures of the shows are so compressed, you don’t attach the way these shows needed us to to make them engaging.
I also feel this with NuTrek like Strange New Worlds when they do too many concept episodes that don’t move the plot and the balance of the season feels rushed since they can’t let anything breathe.

Are you going to offer the kneehigh socks or let them pick when you bring the Linux box over? 🤣
