Hopefully it feels a little better with the extra duties! Like keeping a kid entertained, maybe

God, job hunts are the worst. Partner’s been looking for something literally anywhere within an hour of the cbd, has years of hospo experience, years of random tech knowhow. Even casual would be fine at this point. Just needs something to tide him over whilst we wait on the partner visa stuff to go through.
He’s only had one bloody interview, even, and they were reportedly incredibly nice and then just never talked to him after.
I’m so exhausted with supporting both of us. He’s so exhausted with doing 20+ bloody job apps every day. Ugh
Managed to keep myself off Reddit and Kbin for a while, but sometimes meetings just get too boring. Glad to see this place still going!
Hanhula@kbin.socialto Gaming@beehaw.org•Pathfinder: should I start with Kingmaker or Wrath of the Righteous? Or it doesn't matter?6·2 years agoWrath’s a lot easier to play, I’d say, because the mythic paths change things completely for your builds. It makes builds a lot more flexible, too, compared to Kingmaker/base PF1e.
WotR is one of my absolute fave games - probably because I GM Pathfinder 1e - so I’m super glad to see someone getting into it! Have fun, take your time. The only major timer is right at the beginning, and doesn’t affect too much. Make sure you recruit Daeran, Woljif, and Ember!
I’m too tired for this, bot. Had a slight crisis of day-of-week, hahahah.
May be procrastinating writing again.
Hanhula@kbin.socialto Melbourne@aussie.zone•Daily Discussion Thread: Wednesday 5 Jul 20236·2 years agoI can understand it, to be honest. Kids don’t get a lot of money and makeup’s expensive. Sure, you’re right in that she should clean the damn stuff up, but like… kids’re irrational and jump to anger responses a lot.
(Does she have a caddy type thing to put it in? I got some extra shelving and caddies in my bathroom and now it stays organised. Feels good.)
Hanhula@kbin.socialto Melbourne@aussie.zone•Daily Discussion Thread: Wednesday 5 Jul 20237·2 years agoYeah… I think it’s a really big hit to a huge chunk of the population to NOT have it. Imagine if they’d just tax the fucking rich for that amount instead.
Hanhula@kbin.socialto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL Many hotels including Hilton and Marriott collect guests’ used soaps, scrape the hair and stuff off, then melt them down to make new soaps.3·2 years agoYou wouldn’t want to do that anyway. Stuff up the arse needs a flared base, or you’ll end up with a hospital visit.
Hanhula@kbin.socialto Australia@aussie.zone•Can we stop buying these stupid things? Thanks5·2 years agoI’ve been referring to these as babykillers. Good luck seeing a kid crossing the road if you’re in one of these.

It’s possible for the kid to identify their donor without the donor having input, these days. Better for donors to be aware of this going in, I think.
Hanhula@kbin.socialto Melbourne@aussie.zone•Fishermans Bend was meant to house 80,000 people. What happened?1·2 years agoDisagree. Tram’ll be fine. I live at the end of the 11 tram line right now, it’s really convenient. If it’s a bit longer, it’ll be great for getting to DFO by tram and I’ll be able to consider moving there since it’ll be super close to my office.

Hanhula@kbin.socialto Melbourne@aussie.zone•Daily Thread - Saturday, Get Diddly Down Today - 01/07/20231·2 years agoMake sure you’re wringing it out, and not just by, well, wringing it. People used to use mangles to get all the water out, so you can use a similar concept even today - essentially scrape down it (in a way that won’t damage it) and just drag the water out that way.

Hanhula@kbin.socialto Melbourne@aussie.zone•Fishermans Bend was meant to house 80,000 people. What happened?3·2 years agoThe plan’s still underway, isn’t it? It’s weird that the tram line hasn’t been started. I’d love to move over there if they bloody well added the tram.
Hanhula@kbin.socialto Reddit Migration@kbin.social•Never thought I would get emotional about losing an app4·2 years agoI understand it for them. They’re a slower, more mature forum - they don’t want to be Reddit. I’ve got an account there and I enjoy my time there, but I’ve been using Kbin instead of Reddit more often.
To be fair, people should wear their fucking headphones.
Hanhula@kbin.socialtoAITA@lemmy.world•AITA, my flatmate hates me for wrecking the inspection5·2 years agoNTA. The agent could have clarified, your roommate could have checked in. Overall, agents don’t care that much. Mine’s gotten me to take pictures of the place the last few times I’ve needed to do inspections, lol.
He’s working on that one, good to know!
