Wyze cameras offer sd storage as well. Check your camera it should have it already

Because the archive site points out their deceptions, lies and cruelty

I’ll take a look later but quick check he is using two different devices which means its not identical hardware/ firmware.
Also there are many many many more cases where performance has been the same
And countless others who see no difference between windows and Linux.
Most times if there is is due to dxvk / Proton fixing a game bug/bottleneck, or invalid testing with not identical settings/hardware.
There is no way windows is using more power and giving lower clock rates without some other bug effecting it.
Edit: finished the video. He didn’t show any actual testing its basically as in depth as the Tom’s article.

I’m also suspicious of those tests since they don’t show details like power usage. Same problem Tom’s did here, took the data at face value missing the clear signs in the original video showing how it was tested improperly.
There are many tweaks and bugs like 17w being 20w+ with this version of the os.

This is purely from a broken test. Watch the video and you’ll see that its not testing with the same power limits.
17w tests are actually 16w vs 20w+ and 35w test is 25w vs 35w
This leads to drastically higher clock speeds on both cpu and gpu as seen in the video and thus higher fps (and power draw, so lower battery life)
Please help stop the spread of misinformation

Thanks for linking my post, it’s a shame Tom’s hasn’t updated their post as it’s discussed in the comments there too.

Way to twist the facts. The difference is that the powerlimits aren’t working properly on Linux not that it can offer more.
His test was supposed to be at 17w but it was running over 20w in linux.

Or Obama?
If the GOP wasn’t so strong he could have done a lot more good as well.
We need to change the house and senate, blue cities and states are so under representated

Tbf if Linux was running at the same tdp it would be the same speed, as shown by 13w tests
The 17w is actually 16w vs 20w+ and 35w is 25w vs 35w+.
So the article is very wrong and misleading. Watch the actual video and post attention to the power draw and clock speeds.

Nah he actually watched the source video so knows that the test wasn’t valid apples to apples

It’s only better because it’s using much more power so higher clock rates.

Exactly this is a good use of robots. We just need an actual support system for people that doesn’t require them to work insane hours and ties Healthcare to jobs.
Some form of basic income, Healthcare and affordable housing should be the norm and let robots handle tedious tasks.
Sadly we are skipping the quality of life steps

This happened just yesterday with a post from Tom’s hardware.
Said that Linux gaming was upto 30% faster than Windows.
The testing was flawed for anyone that looked at the source video, the hardware was running at different power limits and this higher clock speeds for gpu and cpu.
People started talking major shit against windows because of it.

Yes I watched the whole thing. Did you?
1-2 fps isn’t faster when it’s not identical scenes.
Windows was faster by 1 fps in hogwarts legacy at 13w 😆. Does that make windows better? No. It’s margin of error.

Nope this is purely from a broken test.

Look at the actual video that Tom’s is pulling data from. There is clearly a bug with the tdp limiting in Linux which is using far more power and thus higher clock speeds.
The only valid results are 13w vs 13w. The “17w” is actually 16w windows vs 20w+ Linux and “35w” is actually 25w vs 35w.

Put your bias aside… look at the actual tests and you’ll see that they are heavily flawed eith Linux not respecting the tdp amounts and pulling much more power thus running faster.

They are supposed to have the same settings, the Linux ones are just wrong and using more power than told It’s supposed to be capped to 17 but pulling over 20 vs 16 on windows. That’s a lot more lower resulting in higher fps but lower battery life.

Because its using more power and has a higher tdp?
That’s apples and oranges. At the same power limits they have same performance. With higher power limit ofc you’ll have higher performance.
Yeah it seems like most of unknown is just windows since they spike and shrink together.
