I love this one! It’s short, snappy, and cuts to the simple matter that despite all of the complexities surrounding feminism this is essentially what it’s about.

What are they going to do when the suggestions are to do something other than rip out bike lanes and add more car lanes?
We love Pedro Pascal
Good!
I’ve never heard of “Drop”. Culture has changed a lot in the last 20 years and how we learn about new movies is largely being fed the list of movies we are going to hear about by an algorithm. Granted, I’m specifically avoiding that kind of thing, but for most people they are going to hear about it on Tiktok or Youtube or Shiznab or Fwuhungo or wherever the kids these days hang out. - Shakes fist at clouds - And simply “cranking out original movies” isn’t good enough anyway. Are they good movies? Because people will talk about them if they are good. And sometimes even being good isn’t enough if the current social climate just isn’t into what the movie is doing. Movies at their very best are art, and a lot of the best ones flopped at the box office, only to be rediscovered years later. idk where I’m going with this… just rambling and also I still have no interest in slop or infinite sequels.
Usually turkey or a ham with a spread of roasted or steamed veggies. My brother likes to make deviled eggs, so he brings those over. It’s simple, but I love the ritual of it! For the fall and winter family meals I also like to make a cauliflower casserole which is layers of cauliflower, sour cream, and Hungarian sausage. That feels too rich for a spring meal though.
For me it was always just chocolate and the family meal. And now it’s that, plus a way to mark the seasons I suppose.
I’m trans and shortly after I came out to my Mom I asked her what baby girl names she had picked out for me when she was expecting. During her pregnancy her doctors had told her she was going to have a girl, and turns out they were right! So I wanted to choose a name for myself from the options she had come up with at the time. So I got to pick a name that I loved, and she still got to name her daughter. It’s one of my happiest memories!
Oh, absolutely expected. Still hanging on to my butt and hoping people stop him before he decides to ‘liberate’ my country.
Holy, that is chilling. Even for him.
In this climate of post-law America… yeah. Whatever will happen will happen I guess.
In my riding CPC is projected “likely” to win. When I moved here it was the place that consistently voted green party and now it’s conservative. Crazy. And all the left needs to do is not split the vote. I don’t particularly care which party wins my riding as long as it’s not the CPC, but they are most likely going to win even though only 35% of the people support them. Frustrating.
Oh, I know. I’ve got a friend in Austin. The state is heavily gerrymandered. It is infuriating.
My heart is literally breaking for the folks down there. :(
In other words, carbon capture is not practical or scalable.
Enraged, but not surprised.
The two on the right side are closer to my style. I do well with more saturated colours
I don’t want Apple to win, but I DO want Musk to lose.
I don’t think I’m quite the target of this comment because I don’t pretend it doesn’t exist or that it isn’t something that people use or care about. But I do avoid using AI for anything that matters… like at all. I also refuse to use chatgpt or any of the commercial offerings. I do play around with locally hosted stuff because the tech is interesting, but there is no way I would ever put my faith in it. Also, my feelings toward the biggest players in the industry are at best “disgust”. So I don’t want to use their products.
So my question then how exactly can I be in the room to help shape decisions? The only two levers I have to pull is whether or not to send those companies money, and whether to even use the free services or not.
What exactly am I supposed to do? The companies will just make whatever models and tune them however they feel will achieve whatever goals they have regardless. And presently, their goals do not align with mine.
I won’t be surprised when we are fucked. I promise you that. I can see that coming. But I feel utterly powerless to stop the tech fascists.
Me definitely! I can’t handle loud spaces, especially social gatherings where there is chatter echoing throughout the room. I get so overloaded I have to leave and find quiet spaces to calm down.
