You can find one near you on mobilize.us
Remember, this is a work day. Don’t count the number or compare to Hands Off, just be appreciative of the people who showed up.
At some point, I feel like theres gotta be something they can do that will get us all to say, you know what, work or not, fuck this. But, we haven’t found it. I cant say I’m not guilty of using that excuse myself. I just bought a house, can’t exactly afford to rock the boat. But, what’s the alternative? Much worse than losing our jobs.
And losing our healthcare with our jobs. What a stupid system.
Just paid $150 for a nurse to tell me to rest my sore arm and take ibuprofen because work demanded a doctor’s note. This system is bullshit
Mine is scheduled for after work so it works out.
Quite the opposite; this is the true number of engaged Americans and Hands Off was overinflated by being planned on weekends. You’ll want more of these, not more Hands Offs, going forward.
I disagree, both are engaged enough to show up. Some can’t afford to take off work, that’s the reality in the US right now.
Some can’t afford to take off work,
Then they’re not engaged to show up. Protesting on a weekend doesn’t impact the fascists in any way, so considering that “showing up” in your calculations is nothing more than self-deception.
It’s been very effective at deterring Tesla sales
No, the sheer amount of outrage at musk and vandalism/burning have been very effective at deterring Tesla sales. The two Hands Off protests have nothing to do with that.
There have been protests outside Tesla showrooms every weekend.
Okay that’s at least marginally productive, but it’s still not deterring Tesla sales (which can simply be done on weekdays if one is afraid of the protesters); Elon being public enemy number 2 is deterring Tesla sales.
