Or maybe people just aren’t paying for the overpriced, reheated shit sysco supplies to shit-tier chain restaurants?

If i’m spending my hard earned money on going out to eat, i’m going to support actual chefs who source mostly from local suppliers and farms.

A nearby restaurant has a really good plate of chilaquiles that changed in price from $14 to $24 over the course of two and a half years. With prices like that, who can afford to eat out?

I’ve seen similar price hikes here in Minneapolis. There’s a very popular restaurant serving mocktails for $15.50. It’s common to see a $18 burger with no fries. I’m certain it’s not unique to Minneapolis, but I’ve been to NYC and Paris recently and was shocked at how affordable the restaurants were. Either restaurant owners are conspiring to price-fix, or they’re following other industries and raising prices “because they can.”
