Listened to some more Slits today, I still like them. Uncut gems. The Clash and Specials come to mind, though this is not exactly Ska (just like The Clash aren’t). Sign of the Times I guess.

slits got their big break opening for the clash in 1977. mick jones (was that his name?) would tune their guitars for them because the slits had no prior musical knowledge and didnt know how to tune
