Everyone who knows the slightest thing about kanye knows he should have been hospitalized like 5 years ago but will never be because he’s rich. Everyone knows he’s going out like Prince or MJ. There’s hundreds of video essays on this.
There isn’t really a judging body or a committee determining what goes on here. it’s just what whoever posts thinks was well worded or should be seen or whatever. i’m usually like “oh cool someone remembered this community exists” when i see anything here. like, keep an eye out for content you think fits and post it here, and that will make it better fit what you think counts.
I fully understand, I was there for bestofreddit. And I’ve liked most of the posts from this com. I guess I’m just sad that regurgitated celebrity slop is making it as a bestoflemmy.
Yeah I’m the Hippocrate that’s judging without contribution. I fell like Lemmy is still a small enough community that almost every thread has a best of worthy comment, but that just how small communities are. Most people care. The bestof style recognition that reddit does is because genuine human comments are such a scarcity in their world filled with bots and AI slop. That’s not how Lemmy is.
I think when Milo Yannanopolis is trying to warn everyone that “Hey, this guy’s got Ye addicted to Nitrus Oxide and convinced him to replace his own teeth” - then yeah, there’s definitely problems.
Milo being the good guy in the story? = Problems.
