He’s got a great sound. I happen to stumble across him on YouTube. He did a number of off genre covers in the last several years that were a lot of fun. And I guess he’s finally come around to accepting being labeled as goth LOL. If I’m not misremembering I think he objected to the label at first. Of course most artists are out to create their art. And less concerned with genre etc.

Though I did get a good laugh at Dr Arthur krause’s response when they were accused of being goth.

Some people call it goth and we are fine with that.

Yeah I think a lot of bands don’t want to be labeled “goth” bc there’s not a huge music fanbase that seeks out goth music, so you have to call yourself post-punk or something. Even if you don’t care about “huge” fame and just want enough of a fanbase to play concert tours. It might be different in Europe, dunno.

My experience is that even fewer people know about post punk lol. I would have just figured that it was because of goth and Goths traditionally having been sort of outcasts and the better jokes at least when I was growing up. Things may be different now. But back in the 80s 90s Etc that was generally the case and yeah a lot of people probably weren’t trying to Target those groups
